The all powerful Calibra and Mercedes cars are a dominant force in the world of the International Touring Car Championship. On their home ground of Germany, where they race DTM, both marks always seem to be finishing in the points. So what of the Scalextric set? It really is Euro Champions all the way. Designed to offer speed and agility the Scalextric models are of a rigid and purposeful construction, more than capable of handling the shunts and bumps synonymous with DTM. The inclusion of the Easi-Fit guide blade assembly in both the cars specification ensures that should the pick-up braids need replacing a minimum amount of time is spent in the pits. Their brightly coloured and determined bodies can be further enhanced with the addition of decals supplied with the set. The race circuit has been created so that the Calibra and the Mercedes can both show off their potential, but as they power around the bends, take care, as being an over zealous driver will result in catastrophe. |
