1981	Le Mans 24 hour 2 Sporting Porsche cars, with working headlights, illuminate this gruelling circuit. The Le Mans 24 hour endurance race is world famous and now you can hold your own Le Mans style race with this super new set from Scalextric. The Porsche name is synonymous with endurance events and as such it is only right that this set should contain two superbly finished Porsche Turbo 935’s fitted with working headlights. The most exciting in the range of Scalextric sets the track length is over 33 feet. A real Le Mans style start is included together with a skid chicane, a flyover bridge and the dramatic chicane curve. Try your own night driving with the new Le Mans set from Scalextric. CIRCUIT LAYOUT The approximate dimensions for this circuit layout are 365cm x 145cm (12’0" x 4’9"). It consists of over 33 feet of track which can be laid out in 4 different ways thus offering tremendous variety within the 1 basic set.

A flyover bridge, chicane curve, special Le Mans start and a skid chicane are included to make this the most exciting set in the entire Scalextric range. The 24 hour endurance race at Le Mans is without doubt world famous and this set enables Scalextric drivers to hold their own Le Mans Style endurance races. The Porsche name is recognised in the field of high speed endurance racing as a symbol of engineering excellence and outstanding reliability. With this in mind the Le Mans set includes two Porsche turbo cars finished in attractive Gold/Red and Silver/Green liveries. These models are also fitted with working headlights. Four optional layouts can be constructed from the basic track as supplied in this set. With track accessories such as the skid chicane, the Le Mans start, the flyover and the infamous chicane curves, every part of the circuit is packed with action and excitement. With the long fast straight sections included within the various track layouts of this set the crash barriers are an essential aid to ensuring high speed cornering and fast lap times.
