1986	Engines roar, oily smoke drifts across the scene, tension rises as the moment for the start approaches. They're off! And all this is happening with the Scalextric Pole Position set. The start unit contains inconspicuous rollers and smoke generators. When the cars are positioned with their driving wheels on the rollers and the throttle triggers are pressed, the wheels roar round but the cars don't move. Smoke drifts out, apparently from the exhausts. The official starter slides his control button, the rollers drop down and the cars are away. No extra wiring needed for the start unit. All electric connections are made internally through the track. Supply of smoke oil and loading syringe included. 1987	The Rev Start track section adds great excitement to the racing. Both cars are placed on it and can rev up on the built-in rollers with 'exhaust' smoke drifting across before the start. When the Start Button is moved they roar off together. Smoke oil and filler included. 1988	When the cars are placed on the special Rev Start track section they can rev up with their wheels spinning on built-in rollers. Meanwhile 'exhaust' smoke, emitted from generators beneath the track, drifts across. As the Start Button is moved, both cars get away together. Smoke oil and filler included.
1989	The track running length of almost 20ft gives ample scope for a real ding-dong race. The special Rev-Start track section ensures both cars make a clean getaway. When placed on the starting grid, the car drive wheels can revolve on built-in rollers enabling drivers to ‘blip’ their throttles to ‘warm up the engines’. The track section incorporates two small smoke generators which give off realistic ‘exhaust’ smoke while I the cars are revving up. When the Start Button is moved the rollers drop and both cars get I away together. Smoke oil and filler included.
