Wherever Sports Prototypes race it is a certainty that the Porsche 962 and the Mercedes teams will each try to prove supremacy on the track. During these occasions the two giants of the German motor Industry utilise their technical ability to the full. In this set the ever popular Porsche 962 is wearing the now famous ‘Repsol’ colours, while the familiar silver body of the Mercedes team adds a distinctive contrast, as both cars wait at the starting grid. Both cars each have Magnatraction, brakelights and headlights so they are well equipped for racing through the day and night. The off-set oval circuit, which is speed banked at one end, provides ample opportunity for the drivers to sharpen their skills. The crossover tracks can mean danger during a race and if both cars reach them at the same time, the driver with the coolest nerve is the one who goes through first. |

Supersound Unit. Requires 2 x Ever Ready HP7 batteries (not included). The Sauber Mercedes 'Silver Arrow' and the Repsol Porsche 962C are perfect adversaries as they chase each other around the circuit. Each car is equipped with headlights for 24 hour racing, brakelights which illuminate when the cars decelerate, Magnatraction to simulate ground, effect and for ease of maintenance, the Easi-fit guide blade assembly. The circuit is fast but tricky. Banked curves at one end can be negotiated at virtually full throttle but the crossover tracks have to be taken with some caution as only one car can cross at a time. Should the two cars approach these track sections neck and neck it is the driver with the strongest nerve who will be the first over, possibly winning the race. This set also includes the Supersound unit providing even more drama to the racing. |
