1988 | With working headlights, brake lights and MAGNATRACTION. |
1989 | With working headlights, brakelights and MAGNATRACTION. Cars tearing round a circuit headlights aglow, add a great extra dimension to Scalextric racing, especially when viewed in a darkened room. The effect of red tail lights or working brakelights takes the imagination even further. Cars with lights have varying specifications - check what you want against the car captions. |
1991 | All the cars are fitted with working headlights. Some have tail lights while others have brake lights which come on only when the hand throttle trigger is released to slow the car down. Check the symbols shown against each model. |
1992 | Racing in the dark is exciting, skillful and a tremendous amount of fun. The cars on these pages all feature headlights, some have tail lights, some others have brake lights and cars such as the Lamborghini Diablo have all three types of lighting. Check the symbols against each model to see the features of each.
All Scalextric cars with lights are suitable for use with the C.268 Permalite Control Unit. |
1993 | Although racing Scalextric is tremendous fun the excitement really starts to happen when the room lights go off and the cars with lights are put on the track. As with driving a real racing car you must drive within the capabilities of the headlights on your chosen car. This does make interesting racing as the more adventurous drivers may just try to gamble and go that little bit faster than they should.
All the cars in this section are fitted with headlights. Some have brakelights which illuminate as the car decelerates, others have tail lights as with the new Ford Escort Cosworths and in some cases there are cars that have all three light features. Check the symbols next to each car and make your choice. All Scalextric cars with lights are suitable for use with the C268 Permalite Control Unit. |
