Alfa Romeo ore no strangers to the racing world. As today, the name of Alfa Romeo in those early days of motor racing, was synonymous with winning. In their distinctive bright red body work they raced to victory time and time again.
However they did not have it all their own way, as one of Alfa’s main rivals was the open top Bentley, shown on this page in dark blue.
Both models are sturdily built but still retain the delicacy of detail. Motor racing has come a long way since these giants were raced in earnest. Modern cars are more stable and are able to take the corners at greater speed. In contrast these Scalextric vintage models must be driven at speeds that take into account their high centre of gravity.
