Year Information: This supercharged version of the 4½ litre Bentley had a 5.6 litre capacity Rootes blower which was mounted between the front dumb irons and driven from the front end of the crankshaft, air pressure being used to force feed fuel from the 45 gallon tank to the supercharger. The vehicle weighed just over 2 tons in racing trim, with a fuel consumption of 8-12m.p.g. The car developed 240b.h.p. at 4200r.p.m. and had a top speed of around 130m.p.h.
